Painting Rocks

I hadn’t seen Little since our last outing back around Easter, so this visit was appreciated. I do wish we saw each other more often, but sometimes it’s just hard to make it happen I guess.

I picked her up and asked her what her favorite ice cream is, explaining that we’d make some. So we swung by the grocery store to get ingredients for strawberry cheesecake ice cream, as well as some lunch and headed back to my house.

Harlow was very happy to see L, grumbling and barking with delight and trotting around with a stuffed animal in her mouth after we arrived home. As we prepared lunch she asked for fizzy water. I told her, “Yes it’s in the oven”

“It’s in the oven?” she responded, perplexed.

Pause…then we both bust out laughing because obviously I meant fridge.

We watched a bit of The Goonies while we had lunch, churned the ice cream, and then painted some rocks which I had collected six months into the pandemic when I did a project about pandemic hobbies. A knitter with a golden retriever lived near a beach which was all large smooth rocks. So I swiped some for future project purposes.
