I had a very busy Sunday photographing a collection of families who’d been rescheduled from past rainy weekends. October is the busiest month for family sessions for me, and the rain has been the worst we’ve experienced in years. After photographing everyone, I went to pick up Little to spend the evening hanging out.
I had texted her a week or so ago and asked if she’d tried the Marshmallow challenge yet. She told me she was game to play when we got together, and I knew we’d have to record the ridiculousness disaster I knew would likely result.
The Marshmallow game is a sort of word chanting game for two people. The object is to say the chant back and forth without messing it up while increasing the number of times you repeat the lines in the chant – “One marshmallow. Check it out! Woo!”
Don’t ask me where the words in the chant came from or what they mean. I have no idea.
So…
First person – One marshmallow!
Second person – Check it Out
First person – Woo!
(Next time you say each phrase twice, but still alternate who’s saying it, so;)
First person – TWO marshmallows!
Second person – TWO marshmallows!
First person – Check it Out
Second person – Check it Out
First person – Woo!
Second person – Woo!
First person – THREE Marshmallows….
And so on.
Earlier in the evening we were making brownies and started talking in these weird voices, joking about how we should record a cooking show while using these voices. This video starts with us talking in ridiculous voices like we were earlier in the evening, and then we get to the reason we recorded; evidence of our ridiculous attempt at this ridiculous word game.
It actually didn’t take us too long, but I did edit out about 90 seconds. We laughed until out cheeks hurt.
Enjoy?
