I popped onto Facebook this morning to find the following post “Yesterday, after almost 11 years, we had to say goodbye to our boy Blue. Our hearts are broken, but we know he’s at peace. We’ll always remember him as the ultimate free spirit, both wild and loving – and will be retelling stories about him for years to come. We love you so much, big guy. Now go chase all those squirrels over the rainbow bridge. ![]()

When Harlow was adopted her name was Pinky. Her brother’s name was, and remained after being adopted, Blue. To learn that Harlow’s brother, born from the same litter, was gone, was a shock. I feel so deeply for his humans. While I am Facebook friends with them, we really only managed to get together twice when the two dogs were younger in 2013, and 2014.
Blue was appreciable bigger than Harlow, if that’s even possible.
“Ultimate free spirit, both wild and loving” the post reads. Harlow and Blue are definitely siblings!
The only thing dogs do wrong is not live as long as we do.
2013 Blue and Harlow visit, with Blue’s owners. Harlow is in the blue harness…

In 2014, Blue is in the Blue bandana…
