Angela Davis

In honor of Black History Month I was looking for photos to update my cover photo on FB when I found this gem. As is often the case, I find myself wondering about the children in this photo. How many of them are alive today? What were their lives like? Do they have any memory of this moment?

Saturday night I was lucky enough to cover a campus visit from Angela Davis. She was, not surprisingly, a wonderful and thought-provoking speaker. Here’s the story if you want to read about it and see some photos.

It is a remarkable thing to know that you are talking to and photographing people who were important in my life 50 years ago! Amazing!
