Harlow has been sick in the hospital.
I got a call VERY early from the animal hospital today and it startled me a bit. But in the end they were just calling to tell me that my beastie can come home!
She was in my car by 8:30 and pleased as punch to be out of there, I think. She has a massive list of medications – all for nausea, diarrhea, vomiting and there’s an antibiotic too. They also have to be administered practically at all ours for the day and night – midnight, 1am, 2am, 9am, 10am, noon, 5pm, and 6PM. Some with food, some on an empty stomach. One is a slurry that I have to mix with water and squirt into her mouth.
Some will be done in four days, some in eight. So, it will be an interesting week. Work? What work? Actually, the timing couldn’t be better since I do not have to go into the office for regular hours right now.
In a week we’ll get another urinalysis done to determine if a GI scope procedure needs to happen. Fingers crossed that it’s not so complicated, but then again, that weight loss is weird. And I suppose I do not want it to be just “well, we don’t know what the deal is!”
I want to know.
I am very happy to have her padding around again, wagging her tail as I approach and ignoring me when I smother her.
