My body is sore from my busy day! Lots of lugging heavy rocks from here to there, raking, mulching, trimming the dog, installing my patio lights, on and on. I love when the weather gets warmer and I can feel so productive. My yard never looks done though. It always looks slightly wild no matter how hard I try. Kind of like my dog.
I like both that way…
If you can see the wires, I’m hoping that the ivy planted near them will crawl up the wire.
Over the last few weeks I’ve been adding color to my patio by spray painting my pots and some coffee cans with peacock colors.
Harlow, ready for a trim after being given a bath last night
Summer ready! I think she looks adorable with her summer cut!
I had hoped that my wisteria would grow and attached to this trellis, but alas, I killed it. So, I have to come up with something else to cling to it.
Added mulch today and brought in some rocks
Added some mulch to this little area and a mulch mowing strip too
My hope is that these raised beds will grow enough greenery that I won’t need to mulch anymore, and it will just be green and rocks.
Mom gave me this great wind sculpture, which I love.

Don’t know where you live weather-wise, but be aware that those metal coffee tins, especially painted dark colors will absorb the heat and cook the roots of the plants in them. You may need to move them to a partially shaded area when it gets hot.

Thank you! That’s great to know. They are not in full sun all day, but still – I’ll keep an eye on them
